Christmas messages

FROM KRIS AQUINO – I always look forward to receiving Christmas cards, which come few and far between this age of social media. Facebook, twitter, instagram, text, and what have you.

From Kris Aquino a card showing her with sons Josh and Bimby and brother President Noynoy Aquino.

Kris’ message:

2013 was a memorable year filled with exciting experiences…unexpected challenges and heartwarming victories…new discoveries…joyful everyday moments…a true affirmation of purpose…and personal witnessing of the strength and goodness of the Filipino.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. May God continue to fill your life with His love, inspiration, and blessings.

PEACE ON EARTH – As always, Manny and Aida Fernandez mailed a card from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Their affectionate note:

“May love and joy surround you and bring you peace at Christmastime and always.”

HOPE – Nearer home is one from PPL Entertainment and talents…with a message of hope for victims of Yolanda.

In lieu of the annual party for the press, PPL donated an amount in the name of entertainment writers. Wonderful.

Marian Rivera, TV5, GMA, and ABS-CBN did the same.

FAMILY NEWS – My Palo Alto, California-based niece Mabeth Cebedo Lefebvre gave an update on the family happenings.

Mabeth is married to a Frenchman, Vincent Lefebvre.

Their two children are graduating early next year, David at Columbia Law School in New York, and Marie at UC Berkeley (geography and literature). Marie received a scholarship which allows her to finish her degree in Rio de Janiero, Brazil (Pontificial Catholic University). She speaks French, Portuguese, Spanish, and of course, English.

Mabeth is the daughter of my sister Monina and her husband Perri Cebedo.

To all friends in and out of showbiz who remembered, thank you. Danny Dolor, Manny Valera, Tessie Villarama, Willie Revillame, ER Ejercito, Popoy Caritativo, Malou Choa-Fagar, Susan Roces, Grace Poe, Helen Gamboa, Jinggoy Estrada, Manay Ichu Maceda, KC Concepcion, Boy Abunda, among others.
