Beauty queen Shamcey Supsup insists that everything is well between her and the parents of her soon-to-be husband, businessman Lloyd Lee, following rumors of misunderstanding over their wedding preparations.
Supsup told ABS-CBNnews.com that she and Lee respect the input of their parents, noting, “It’s a wedding, it’s not just our guests who will be attending, our parents’ guests will also be there. It’s a wedding of two families so we have to consider what they also like.”
Although there were conflicts in terms of motif, Supsup shared that in the end, everyone learned to compromise.
“Siguro ‘yung pagiging young at heart namin ni Lloyd, yun ang medyo conflicting. Kasi for example ako, personally, I like drawings, gusto ko medyo may colors. Ganun ang gusto kong klaseng thing. But then his dad naman, his parents, they like very classical, very simple. Which is kapag pinagsama naman namin, parang pinag-compromise,” she
Supsup is set to walk down the aisle on Dec. 29 at the Church of the Risen Lord in Quezon City.
As for the honeymoon, the 2011 Miss Universe third runner-up said, “We’ll not have the honeymoon right after. We are going to postpone it for the Holy Week na kasi winter, hindi yata maganda mag-travel.”
The beauty queen also shared that she and Lee do not have any prenuptial agreement. “We don’t feel like we need it. Forever na ito, wala nang hiwalayan,” she said.
Supsup is not in a hurry to have a baby either; she hopes to see the house they are building completed first.
As to giving up her career, she declared, “Hindi. Actually si Lloyd ang nagpu-push sa akin to accept projects. Siya ‘yung parang pseudo manager ko. He feels that I can do this, I can do that.” (NR Ramos/mb.com.ph)
