Claudine has filed an affidavit of complaint before the Marikina Regional Trial Court (RTC) on Thursday, Aug. 29, for Raymart’s alleged violation of the Anti-Violence against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004.
“Even I, a celebrity, who almost has everything, was still physically, sexually, psychologically and economically abused by my own husband,” claimed the 34-year-old actress in an interview aired on “TV Patrol,” further alleging that these had gone on for “years.”
Aside from her legal counsel, Claudine was accompanied by her parents and older brother, as well as her loyal fans whom she joined in wearing purple shirts imprinted with “Stop Violence Against Women and Children – Gabriela” and “Justice for Claudine Barretto.”
Raymart’s camp admitted that they weren’t surprised with the filing, and said that they have been anticipating it.
“Meron silang ebidensya, meron din akong ebidensya,” the 40-year-old actor explained in a separate interview with “24 Oras.”
