Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu has consistently said that she and Xian Lim are exclusively dating but it doesn’t mean other men who might also be interested in her should lose heart.
“Wala naman pong problema at hindi naman po ako nagsasara ng pinto…wala naman pong bakuran effect na nangyayari,” she said at a recent press conference when asked if she can still accommodate other suitors even with Xian there.
Still, their chances seem to be slim since Xian already has the edge of having proving himself to Kim across time—“andiyan po siya para sa akin,” as she puts it.
Besides, even if she claims that he is her only suitor, the actress is happy the way things are in her life. She doesn’t even look for new male friends, opting to just focus on her career and family. No, she doesn’t even have crushes at this point.
So why not make it official with Xian?
“Pinagpapawisan na kilikili ko,” she joked, then adding quite seriously, “darating din tayo diyan, hindi naman kelangan pilitin.”
As before, Kim stressed that if she does fall in love and chooses to reveal it publicly, then nothing can keep her from doing so since she’s already of age.
“Basta…malalaman (niyo) kung sino man ang nagpapatibok ng puso ko.”
She misses having a boyfriend. Kim said that for a woman, there’s nothing like the feeling of being showered with attention which she described playfully as “nakakahaba ng hair.” However, she doesn’t want to jump into a relationship just for the sake of having one, unless it ends even before it can really start as if “para ka lang nagpapalit ng damit.”
Like the romcoms she does, the actress believes in ever-afters.
“Huwag mo lang i-wish kasi minsan ‘yung wish mo ay mali eh. Hayaan mo yung destiny,” she said about finding love.
Asked if she misses having a boyfriend, Kim crowed: “Oo naman!”
In the meantime, the actress is working on her month-long special on “Wansapanataym” titled “My Fairy Kasambahay.” A respite from her previous stint on TV, the heavy drama “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” the ABS-CBN family series will allow Kim to take her fans on a “magical, funny and lesson-filled” adventure as Elyza, a spoiled brat who is set to learn the value of respecting house helpers.
“Wansapanataym” featuring Kim Chiu will start airing on Sept. 7.
